The Careers on Wheels event continued to inspire young minds today at Lincolnton Middle School, where we welcomed 4th-grade students from GE Massey, S. Ray Lowder, and Battleground Elementary Schools. The day was filled with excitement as students explored a wide range of careers and engaged in hands-on learning with local professionals and their vehicles.
Our community partners played a crucial role in making today a success. The students had the opportunity to learn from representatives from:
MBA Roofing
Lake Electric
Lincoln County Public Works
NC Forest Service
Lincoln County Sheriff's Department
Lincoln County EMS
H2O Mobile Wash
Queen Transportation
City of Lincolnton Fire Department
Kintegra
With each rotation, the students spent time at each station, learning about different careers, the skills required, and the tools and vehicles essential to each job. From fire trucks to utility vehicles, students gained valuable insight into the daily duties of various professionals while having the chance to ask questions and explore the equipment.
These real-world interactions are helping to build a foundation for future career exploration. The enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by the students show just how impactful this event is in opening their eyes to the possibilities that lie ahead.
We are incredibly grateful to all of our community partners for their continued support in making Careers on Wheels an unforgettable experience for our students. We look forward to the final day of this event and to continuing to inspire our future leaders!
